Biophotonics
Biophotonics is the study of the interaction of light and tissue as well as the development and validation of new optical and imaging diagnostic techniques. This research and development is conducted at the interfaces of the disciplines of optics, biomedical engineering, biology and clinical medicine and is conducted in close collaborations with researchers and clinicians in medicine and biology. Our activities include: in vivo monitoring of human tissue, as well as industrial applications such as food quality control and spectroscopy of pharmaceutical materials.
